I love you guys for scanlating Bokura wa itsumo :]
Hope that a new update will come soon :>

  17. Nami Says:

You said we will see more Bokura in September yet October is already over and there is nothing from you not even a word.I know you must have things going on in RL and i appreciate that your doing all this translation for us but at least don’t give us false hopes, please. And update to say that you can’t have releases for now or something.I’ve been waiting till summer but always ended up with disappointment. Though thanks for previous updates :) -I just wish you wouldn’t tell that you’d do something and not do it for months … -

  18. mango Says:

@NAMI: FYI most groups don’t do what you are asking from us and I never heard of anyone complain or demanding that we should announce our status on these free scanlations we work on during our SPARE time. Although you say you are thankful but your comment makes me think otherwise. There are so many groups that went on hiatus for months … examples are entropy, beautiful soup (most likely dead), Peccatore Sanctuary (definitely gone), ect (so many more)!! I follow so many groups and so many, if at all, even announces they are on hiatus or even “dead”. I don’t complain because it’s FREE scanlation and complaining just makes people pissed off. You shouldn’t even be getting these free manga anyways to begin with. Just pray sooner or later that some other group will pick it up or the group will come back after their hiatus. We are not obligated to tell leechers anything and we are not even obligated to release our free scanlations to you. Go pout about this in a corner and if that doesn’t work, go buy your own damn mangas. I am a staff on OT and I would appreciate it if you don’t post useless comments that doesn’t help the group get their courage to release soon.

  19. Mia Says:

OMG! I love it! It’s great.
I’ve got one question are u going to dropp Kinkyori Renai?
    It would be really sad!

  20. LT Says:

Mango, you are being a jerk, NAMI was just saying that you guys said you were going to do something and didn’t, so most of us “leechers” are pissed about that fact.
I think is really funny that you think you are different from us when you become the very same thing when you read other mangas that I’m absoultely sure you do, or maybe I’m mistaken and you take part in every manga you read (Yeah right!). Nonetheless, I’m a translator myself, I’ve helped with the translations of Veritas and The breaker, but I’m afraid I can’t help with this project directly, since as you may assume I’ve only learned one asian language ( korean), BUT IF you were so “kind” as to give me the Raws of the missing chapters I could get one of my mates to translate them in their free time and help with this project if translation is an issue.
However I must say that I definitely don’t like it when some stupid jerk “staff” member thinks he can tell other morons to stop pestering, when it was you that brought it upon yourselves with their lack of interest and poorly done announcements…..but whatever I just care about getting this shit done. So think about it.

  21. Mirlaine Says:

Minna-san, this is how Osuwari Team has always been working. Why are so so surprised? Lol.

Imo, readers have the right to get pissed, because there are two admins, and neither of them has made an effort to post a simple “we have some problems, stay tuned” message.

  22. kuinni Says:

Excuse me, Mirlaine, but please get your facts straight. I am not an admin and have never been one. And since you are no longer in the group, you also do not know that I have left the group and am no longer in contact with Akamaru.

Originally, I was not going to say anything at all since Osuwari is not my concern, but please do not stick your nose in the mud if you only intend to be hateful and stir up trouble. I especially do not appreciate the fact that you are insulting me when Akamaru is the only one who is responsible for her own actions. I refuse to take the blame for Akamaru for anything.

I have never insulted you before or implied that I disliked you, but if for some reason you feel like I have done something to garner your disrespect, please, by all means, contact me. I would prefer you tell me upfront what you feel about me so that we can get it straightened out, rather than having you insinuate that I deserve less than common courtesy. My email is kuinni@gmail.com. I will be waiting for your email if you really do have anything to say.

  23. Mirlaine Says:

You’re still listed as scanner, that’s why I thought you’re a member, if it’s not so then please accept my appologies. And I did not meant to insult you. I was under the impression you were one of the admins, or at least Akamaru never made that clear– since you were in charge of some projects? I honestly don’t know what else to say. Anyway, I’m sorry if you felt insulted. Even though I’ve left the group, I’m still a reader, and I really like some of OT’s projects, so it makes me somewhat sad the group is going dead like it did many times in the past.

  24. kuinni Says:

Sorry Mirlaine, I know I reacted like quite the bitch. Thanks for the apology. I’ll email you.

  25. Nami Says:

@mango,as LT said i was only “complaining” about you saying that you will give us a release that week and then disappear just like that… And if you look closely i even waited for awhile.I wasn’t acting in anyway you assume i do,and i don’t demand you to tell us when your going on a hiatus or not.I was just saying it’d be nice if you don’t say “we’ll have releases this week/month” and then disappear for months. And i WAS being thankfull, but your free to take it any way you want.

I agree with you so much LT and thank you <333

  26. T0Ri Says:

I’m confused, is Osuwari dead? Mango said haituses are common and then listed a lot of dead sites, “beautiful soup (most likely dead), Peccatore Sanctuary (definitely gone).” So what has happened to Osuwari? Is it dead or dying? And if so, what happens to all the unfinished manga?

Also, for about three weeks after the announcement that new chapters were coming out I checked the site every single day (just to prove my obsession OO) so its really tiring that nothing has been updated yet…

  27. Anya Says:

I agree with all of you, guys. I don’t want to be misunderstooded, but if a scanlations site doesn’t release its scans, what we have to do? What to think? If you have closed, or even if you have some troubles/problems, at least you must tell us! If you’re busy with other things, ok, but take 10 minutes to do a post where you say it, and not to vanishing like this for 2 (and more) months!

  28. Olivia Says:

Well to be honest I’m a webmistress or was for around three years and always made some kind of effort to let others know when my site would be down, I think given that scanlation sites have more then one person working on them they should make the same effort, its not just this one, I’ve seen so many sites say nothing, the reason they get no stick because of it, is usually because every one is too scared to upset the scanlators and get the usual you scan it yourself etc. I feel that there is a real lack of respect for those who read the scanlations we are treated as beggers. I think that if we pay you the respect we thank you we donate etc then you should treat us with the same respect. The best site I have seen do this is aerandria they have lovely staffers who update frequently and notify with any difficulties that might afflict them and the status of their releases. The worst site I’ve been to is Ochibichan who have a lot of projects but focus on like one and release very few from the others. I think that serious reforms should be made or people will simply quit reading manga from scanlators and either learn japanese, stop reading manga or start buying it more frequently. You may be doing it in your free time but we’re not exactly asking you to do it. In truth its got benefits for you as well as you get to enhance your language and editing skills that look great on any personal statement. I’m sick and tired of being looked down on by sites who think they can release one scanlation a year.
But whatever this is my first time being here dunno if I’ll come back seems like theres a bit of tension going on.

  29. Sasusaku Says:

    Hey guys!
I know you guys are getting a lot of negative feedback and it’s making you feel like you shouldn’t even bother anymore but just know you still have like a hundred loyal fans like me. Thanks for your hard work, your scantalations are never a disappointment. I hope you finish releasing “Hatsukoi ni Oboreta”, it’s one of my favourites as well “Bokura wa Itsumo” in all the manga I read which is like hundred rofl.

    Thanks again!

P.S For the people who check the site everyday, you can simply refresh baka-updates manga’s recently released section. That way you’re not constantly checking all the different scantalation sites (I know I used to do that too it actually took like 20 mins to go through all of them and pretty inefficient) As well, I used to be a fanfiction writer and I know it’s not the same but people who threatened you to update or else they won’t be your best friend anymore only made me want to delete the fanfictions I wrote. As if I owed them something. And thinking you’re helping the “cause” by reiterating what the person above said over and over again doesn’t help either. I think if one person has said it then they get that there’s this problem. It certainly doesn’t help to write an essay *cougholiviacough* pretending how knowledgeable you are on the subject and providing some sort of guideline as to how people should run “literally” their past time, it’s not like they’re getting paid. They’re doing you a favour to be honest, and I doubt they or anyone else really honestly cares if you “come back” because seriously if you read manga for “social networking” then wow you’re not a true fan of manga. It’s about whether or not you like the manga they’re scantalating. I feel this this is a Duh moment. But seriously cry me a river. And i’m pretty sure they don’t constantly hold your hand through these intervals of releases because they thought you guys were mature enough to understand that they have lives other than meeting your needs and sad little insecurities. I’m becoming a hypocrite and writing some sort of long discussion. So I’m going to leave it at, suck it up, read something else for the time being.

  30. Akamaru Says:

    wow, lot’s of negative feedback…

Well, to touch upon some of the accusations above… OT, or at least I as an admin, NEVER treated people who demanded/threatened/begged in any bad way at all. And I NEVER thought we’re doing anyone a favor by scanlating. I never said anything like that, I never even thought it :/ And we never asked for thanks/appreciation/donations/anything. We put online chapters and if anyone was interested in grabbing them, we were happy enough. I don’t feel like anyone here is superior because they’re in a scanlation group… All these people who talk to me are really nice and they are just manga fans who want to contribute to the community by editing/translating/whatever because they have possibility to do it. There is really no reason to be angry with them…
And yes, OT always worked with big hiatuses before. And that is probably not going to change. All people here are helping in their free time, but more than that, I never made them feel like it’s an obligation, I never demanded as I’m not their boss, I don’t pay them for their work. Osuwari Team doesn’t have deadlines. If they don’t want to or don’t have time to do something, they don’t. And there were times when there was literally no one to work, because everyone had to do something else, including me. And unless we introduce deadlines (and I’m not going to do that) or turn into a huge group I don’t think it is going to change. In a small group like ours we often plan something and then POOF, it appears that someone suddenly left, someone is sick, someone just can’t right now cause there’s an exam coming and someone has a headache. It is not EASY to do things. And even though I try, it not always works. Times when I treated scanlation as more than fun, as an obligation, are long LONG gone, and I don’t plan on returning to them EVER. I’m no longer in highschool, I work, I study, I have apprenticeship and family and friends who require my attention. If I’m tired and don’t feel like turning my laptop on and spending hours on scanlation work, I don’t do it. And I know there are other people in scanlation who also work/study/are moms/dads/service workers and yet they manage to take care of their groups better. I guess I’m just not one of them. If it offends anyone, well, I don’t think I can do anything about it.

I guess I could have said my life’s been a bitch for quite a long time now and I’m not even online long enough to TALK to my friends at the scanlation team, not yet to visit our site. I guess many readers were disappointed. For this I am truly sorry because I feel I screwed up on this part and there are many good natured people reading our scans. But the rest… no, I don’t feel guilty for the rest.

And no, we’re not dead, and we’re not not working because of the comments or whatever, don’t worry ^^’. It has nothing to do with the comments at all ^^’

  31. Mango Says:

@Sasusaku: well said about the sucking it up part ;)

@Akumaru: you are too damn nice!!

    http://www.livejournal.com/nycmango

I work for 4 groups and have worked on more than 10 series before so people shouldn’t talk so much smack as to say I’m an ungrateful leecher/staffy. I also buy my books and have scanned some to share which I am definitely not obligated to do so. THe net consist of 90% ungrateful leecher who just downloads these free works and think saying a thank you while complaining about long releasing is ok. Well as a contributor I can be as mean as I want because I spent time and money so I don’t need to hear dumb comments on your end when all you do is click the download button.

Also, I don’t give a crap if you don’t come back because it’s not like I get anything from you. FYI, OT doesn’t take dontations so there is not basis on how we take money and not scanlate … Totally false accusations.

I’m still here because Akumaru is an awesome admin who doesn’t demand when we really have no time! I don’t even like shoujo mangas and this is the only shoujo manga scanlation team I work for!!

I’m just pissed that you people have so much time on your hands to check ot site everyday and write stupid comments while you should be spending thattime joining the staff. Man people like you make me hate scanlations!

@LT: thanks god I don’t read the crap you translate … now go fuk off! And no Ive never complaint to any group about release time. So don’t assume you can bully me by saying shit that ain’t even true. Word of advice … If you have nothing good to say don’t say it at all.

  32. mioka Says:

I’m sort of surprised OS was brought up here. And honestly, am offended with your post.
Regarding to your comments Olivia, you can read my retorts/comments on them here: http://ochibichan.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=580
Drama-whore or whatever you want to call me, I felt that I needed to take a stand on my views of what you’re saying.

@mango, it’s sad that shoujo groups tend to have LEECHERS like Olivia, I wonder why I’m in a shoujo group sometimes >_>

And random post, HALLO THAR KUINNI <333~

  33. T0Ri Says:

@ mango – “I’m just pissed that you people have so much time on your hands to check ot site everyday and write stupid comments while you should be spending thattime joining the staff. Man people like you make me hate scanlations!”

Hm, right. Well first off, I was only checking because I heard their would be an update. Second, I don’t speak Japanese, or have Adobe Reader. And right back at you. If you don’t care if people come back, that’s great for you, because you’ve just lost me and my friends. I came here because I love to read manga. If you are going to insult the people who genuinely cared about your site I have no need to come back. It is people like you who make me hate scanlations. I hope you enjoy posting your scanlations to website with no viewers.

  34. Akamaru Says:

Could you all please stop already. If anyone wants to argue with anyone else, please do it via emails or somewhere else, please. I will delete any other comments here, because OT’s comments are not for people of different views to argue with each other. This argument is starting to turn completely off topic.

And just TORi, please don’t come saying ‘you people at OT don’t give a shit.’ If you want to accuse anyone, do it personally to the person who offended you and don’t treat all others in OT like dirt as well. I do care. And I never ever said anything like ‘hey you people who read should help or be thankful, grateful, kiss our feet because we scanlate.’ I don’t even think in this way at all :/ OT was founded with the idea that we scanlate in our free time because we love it and if anyone else wants to grab what we have done then go ahead. My views have never changed on this. And I identify with OT probably the most as I am the founder and admin here, so hearing this group is just a bunch of bitches makes me sad.

So if anyone has any other regrets, not connected with the general situation on the scanlation scene, please direct it personally to me (OT’s email is checked only by me) or any other member you have regrets to, instead of writing it here.

Thank you, and I hope this argument is closed.
